1 Purpose

Labs are intended to help you acquire the skills that you need to succeed in this course.

2 Tools

You should use the course-approved development environment for labs (so that you acquire the necessary skills). These tools are available on lab computers if you do not have a laptop.

3 Attendance

Attendance at labs is not required, but help will be available during the lab period. So, attendance is recommended, even if you want to use your own laptop.

4 Collaboration

The kind of labs used in this course are most effective if you discuss them with someone else while you are working on them. Hence, you should, but need not, work on them in a group.

5 Submission

You are not required to submit completed labs. Hence, labs will not be graded. However, you are responsible for the material covered in labs and questions related to that material may appear on exams.
